Bikram's Yoga College of India studio Brooklyn Heights was the first to offer Bikram Yoga in Brooklyn and features Directors Troy Myers and Aiko Nakasone who both have extensive dance and acting training and have performed in numerous Broadway shows.
The studio was designed using the concepts of green architecture and feng shui making it especially appropriate for people with environmental sensitivities: Recycled blue jeans insulate the studio and low VOC paints color the walls. A state-of-the-art heating system maintains even temperatures during class, controls the amount of humidity, and circulates air through concealed fans to aid in the body’s respiration process. Hi-tech filters pull out bacteria and mold spores from the room and a Living Air Purification System ionizes the air.
