When I first moved to Boston from Burlington, VT (where I discovered Bikram in a low-key small-city environment), one of the first things I did was seek out the Bikram studios in the area.

This tiny spot proved to be all I needed.

The owners and teachers are incredibly nice and welcoming. The feel of the studio is a bit more serious than I was used to, but I have grown to love it, and appreciate that it is closest in nature to what Bikram himself encourages.

If you can take a true challenge and focus on the yoga, this space can change your life.

I admired you Americans. I have practiced Bikram yoga in Hong Kong for over two years and loved it much as it improved my health and blood circulation. Bikram visited Hong Kong few months ago. However, two weeks ago Bikram yoga Hong Kong suddenly “renamed?” as Planet Yoga (hosted by a Master Kamal) overnight. Then there is no more Bikram teacher and no more Bikram postures which are now replaced by unknown and random hot static yoga postures.

I have to say this yoga studio is way over crowded. Even though I arrived at class 15 minutes before it started, I hardly got a spot and I had no room to stretch my arms and legs.

The instructor was really formulated and spoke in a fast, restless tone, non-stop for the entire 90 minutes. That gave me a headache about 30 minutes after it started and I had to suffer until the end of the class.

Although I heard a lot of good things about this studio, personally it was an overwhelming, disappointing experience.

What an amazing experience. I attended a class at Bikram Yoga Chicago (Wicker Park) with my 50 year old mother, both of us for the first time. I was very impressed with the instruction and guidance when we both needed it. We were the only beginners there. The staff made us feel comfortable right away. Although incredibly intense the experience was equally tranquil. I took advantage of the $20 unlimited week pass and am looking forward to my next class.

Amy mi amore, as far as I know, with Bikram, it essential to listen to the teacher. That is the entire premise of yoga, to respect your teacher. Stop showboating and follow the bikram routine. It is there for a reason.

To the best of my knowledge, a Bikram instructor trains for about three months AND has to keep going back for recertification. And if you're going to try Bikram yoga it's probably a good idea to learn from properly trained people.

My experience with BYCI has been nothing but incredible. Every instructor is attentive and patient. The front desk has friendly and welcoming people. The classes start on time. The heat is awesome. There's a large car park. I'm now going there 6 or 7 days a week and haven't felt this good in 40 years!

Schedule your life around this place. You won't regret it!
